Dear Nagel Family, Russ lives on in my heart forever. I don’t know how his death passed me by but he was such a great role model for me and so so much fun! Love to all. Cousin Bridget

I first met Russ when he was the manufacturing manager for Westinghouse Furniture Systems and the became the CEO.That was back in 1981. From that time we worked together growing the business internationally as well as developing a very special friendship that included our “better halves” Sue & Babs. 
We were all fortunate to travel with work and  sometimes add some pleasure in London, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Germany to name a few places.
After Westinghouse Russ called me and I then worked for him at Batts in the garment hanger business. I will be forever grateful that Russ gave that opportunity at a time when I needed it most.
Both Babs and I were also given the most generous and hospitable experiences when we were visitors to Russ and Sue  at their homes in Grand Rapids and Florida. We were also introduced to many of their friends who then became ours and all of us knew the special qualities that Russ and Sue had  and thanked them for bringing us all together.
When Sue passed away we continued to visit Russ and he was always a great host although we he no longer had his soulmate Sue to keep him in check :wink:!
Russ is now with Sue and that will be  a happier side to what was a sad day last week when we found out the sad news of his passing.
Thanks Russ for being a great boss, mentor but above all a great friend to me and Babs.
We will miss our visits and sharing funny stories and jokes. God bless you. R.I.P and give Sue a hug from us when you get reunited.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you; Russ and I were friends from our Miami days; after graduation our paths went separate ways for awhile, but we did catch up from time to time because the Frey family has been our friends for years. Then we reconnected with Russ and Sue, and Bill and Ellie Mallory during our years in Florida. We made many visits with Russ and Sue and that continued after Sue died. What we admired most about Russ was his love of family, his passion about politics and OSU football, his enjoyment with fishing, his really good sense of humor, and his being such an all around good man. He will be missed by all who knew him. We know that his sudden passing was a shock to all; having talked with him three weeks or so ago when we talked about the coming season in Florida, it is very difficult to process for us let alone how hard it must be for family. Our prayers go out to you; if you can, focus on the great memories of a wonderful dad and mom.; We are sorry that we can't be with you at this time.. Jim and Suzanna Miller, Grove City, Ohio.

Russ and Sue were dear friends of ours for all of the years that Ed and I boated in Holland.  Russ was the ultimate gentleman and everyone on 'D' considered he and Sue their friends.  They were the glue and the reason everyone wanted a slip on 'D'Dock.   They were the ultimate organizers of fun at picnics and the marina.  Russ's sense of humor  was witnessed by all of us.  His sweet Sue was the love of his life from a very young age!  Russ will be sorely missed by many many people.  God's speed Russ.  Sue is at God's side to welcome you into the house of the Lord. Russ and Sue were very special people not only wonderful customers in the store but good friends.Your father was always there for me as I watched my wife battle MS for 20 years and during the recent months after my wife Nancy passed away in February.Both your parents made this world a better place.I will keep all of you in my prayers.
