

Ruth June Bolhuis went to be with her Lord and gained her new address, as she called it, on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Ruth was born on July 2, 1941, in McBain, Michigan, to Janet (Beerens) Schaaf and Martin Schaaf.
Ruth enjoyed baking, sewing, reading, going to Georgetown Connections, canning, tending her flowers, and painting rocks. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and being an active homemaker and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Janet Schaaf; husband, Allen; grandsons Kenny and Joshua; and sister, Joyce Brown. She is survived by her children Randy (Gerri) Bolhuis, Amy (Tom) Hower, Ranae (Randy) Hook, Todd (Angie) Bolhuis, Heather (Arron) Stob, Amber (Micheal) VanOrder; grandchildren Christian, Rebecca (Alex), Jonah, Olivia (Noah), Ethan, Madilyn (Josh), Noah (Lia), Micah, Grace, Mara, Jack, Zeo “Alice,” Meredith, Violet, and Scarlett; great-grandchildren Stella, Oliver, and Maxwell; brother Ray (Sue) Schaaf; sister Judy (Art) Brinks; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, July 6, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Cook Memorial Chapel, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
