Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Chester D. Cooley.
Surviving are her daughter, Hazel Hayward; grandson, Matthew Simons; great granddaughter, Robin Simons; sister, Edith Harry Allen; sister-in-law, Margaret Dallas Winter; and her aunt, Audry Merryman.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
