ECKHARDT - Ruth E. Eckhardt, age 86, went to be with her Lord, Friday, August 18, 2017. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Robert Eckhardt; her son, Randall Eckhardt; her sisters, June and Al Woudstra, Doreen and Gord Potter, Linda and Arch Herrema; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Dr. Schaubel’s office and later the Shriner’s. She served for many years with Senior Meals and in the kitchen at Woodhaven Reformed Church.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Ruth’s family will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 - 84th St., S.W. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, at Woodhaven Reformed Church, 3959 - 68th St., S.W. in Byron Center. Rev. Dr. Steve Petroelje will officiate. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
