I vividly remember how tickled Aunt Ruth was when she won the Foxy Lady contest at Coral Gables in GR! She must have been in her late 50's or early 60's at the time and it totally gave her a thrill. Her sweet soul will surely be missed by many.

I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. It is hard to lose a parent no matter how old we are. I remembered your mom from her picture before I saw her name and I was a friend of Sheila's and Valerie"s. You have my sympathy. Lori

Sorry never did know any of the children of Joanna.. It was amazing when I connected with Kelly through genelogy of the family finding surviors of the family. I am so grateful to have spent some time with Aunt Ruthie at Sheldon Woods before her passing, sitting with Mike and reminising about the old days and what a rich life she's had. It brought back a flood of memories of the times growing up that we'd visit Aunt Ruthie and the whole Hogan clan. She always treated her neices as one of her own brood in a home full of love and kisses. What a sweet, sassy lady with a mischevious sense of humor. She will be dearly missed.

I have sooo many meneries of my sweat mother but the one that sticks out right now is, every Wednesday nite her mother, grandma Cadeaux would come ovwer to watch the Beverly Hillbillies and mom would buy a big bag of cheese curls for munchies well, my friend Denise VanderWeide and I were sitting at the kitchen table begging to get started on the curls, mom said yes but don't eat them all!! Well, that was like saying , go ahead eat them all. So I looked at Denise with a wink and I'm sure she could read my evil mind. Later mom found the empty bag with a few cheese curls in the bag on the table and came screaming into the living room (mom was a screamer but then who wouldn't be with six naughty kids) YOU ATE ALL OF THE CHEESE CURLS? We let her go on for a short time then let her know that we put all of the cheese curls in another bag and left the empty one to get the reaction that we got, This was a part of my mothers everyday life times six!!@!
