

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Hoogeboom, her husband Del Morse, son Jim Morse, great-grandson David Clark, sister June (Roger) Farmer and brother-in-law Chuck Short.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob (Kristi) Morse; three granddaughters Michelle (Brian) Clark, Melissa Morse, and Amy (Tony) Narvaiz; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Matthew Clark and Carson Narvaiz; her sister Betty Short; and many favorite nieces, nephews and close friends.
Ruth was a former employee of Michigan Bell Telephone Co. She was always giving of her time to church, Godwin Schools, and especially to her family and friends. She was a 30-year breast cancer survivor. Ruth was a lifetime member of Burton Baptist Church where she held many positions including secretary, treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and long-time choir member. She loved spending time up north at Diamond Lake playing Scrabble and working puzzles.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Burton Baptist Church, 2010 Plymouth Ave., S.E., Grand Rapids, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to time of service at church on Saturday.
