
She is survived by her parents, Peter D. and Dorothy A. DeHamer of Grand Rapids, her special friend Eunice Kimm; her sister Patti Doug Straatsma of Jacksonville, FL, her brother Joe Nancy DeHamer of Dearborn MI; her niece and nephews Dan and Michael Straatsma of Jacksonville, FL, Joel DeHamer of Prescott, AZ and Lauren DeHamer of Dearborn, MI; her aunts and uncles: Chet Myrna Feyen, Roy Sandie DeHamer, Ellen Jim VandenBand, Carole Ron Hilbrands and many cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18th at North Park Presbyterian Church, 500 North Park NE in Grand Rapids, with Pastor Helen Havlik officiating.
Sally was a Special Education Teacher in the Grand Rapids Public School System and touched many lives in her 26 years of service.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Homewest building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville and Monday one hour prior to the service at the North Park Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Association for Retarded Citizens of Kent County or the Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
