Sandra Laeh Mazzola

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Evelyn Sidebotham; brother, Phillip Sidebotham; and sister-in-law, Shirley Sidebotham. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 65 years, Ciro J. Mazzola; children Mark Mazzola, Juleen (Michael) Cobb, Pamela (Douglas) Patosky, Joseph (Terri) Mazzola; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Sandy worked for the Grandville Public Schools as a bus driver and then as the transportation/maintenance secretary, retiring after 30 years of service. Upon her retirement, she found great pleasure in tending to her yard and flowers, which included a special fondness for her roses. She would also sit on her back porch every day and enjoyed watching the birds visit.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m.

A Celebration Mass of Sandra’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will follow the Mass.

Interment will be 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.

In honor of Sandra and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which was the charity that she regularly supported, and St. Pius X Catholic Church Funeral Offerings.
