

She was preceded in death by her parents Ross and Mildred Poole.
She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 55 years, Edward Link; children Todd (Marcy) Link and Renee (Daniel) Meyers; three grandchildren Carter, Cohen and Calista; step-sister, Wandalee Schut; special friend, Mary Slotegraaf; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sharon was born in Battle Creek while living most of her life in Wyoming and Jenison, Michigan. She graduated from Godwin High School and Grand Rapids Community College. Sharon worked at Wyoming City Hall in the tax accessor’s office and as a telephone switchboard operator. In addition to loving her grandchildren, Sharon enjoyed bicycling, camping, traveling the world, watching wild animals, and tapping her feet to the music at Edward’s gigs. Sharon has been a member of Georgetown United Methodist Church for many years and made numerous good friends. Family and friends will dearly miss her bright smile.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 - 9 PM on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2019, with an hour of visitation prior to the service, at Georgetown United Methodist Church, 2766 Baldwin, Jenison, MI 49428. Rev. Sherri Swanson will be officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In honor of Sharon and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
