Shirley Hartwell

Shirley Evelyn Hartwell (Vredevoogd), age 87 went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, July 4, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Evelyn Vredevoogd; siblings June (Walt) Woodhouse, Peter Vredevoogd, Clara Cronheim, Neva (Bob) Austin, Lois Page; father and mother-in-law Austin (Mildred) Hartwell; sister-in-law Alberta Hartwell; brother-in-law Llewellyn Tilma.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 50 years, Ray Hartwell; son Douglas (Stacie) Hartwell; grandchildren Erin, and Grayson; siblings Harley Vredevoogd, Don (Sharon) Vredevoogd, Mickey (Lynn) Siebers, Diane Tilma, John (Joan) Vredevoogd; brothers-in-law Richard (Carol) Hartwell, Albert Cronheim; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses at Waterford Place and those from Spectrum Hospice for all their wonderful care. Visitation with the family will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building) – 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, MI. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 with visitation one hour prior at Cook Funeral Home (East Building – Memorial Chapel). Pastor Matt Cook will be officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
