Shirley J. Jalacki

JALACKI (CHRISTENSEN) Shirley J. Jalacki, age 88, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Benjamin Jalacki; and her parents, Harvey and Katie (MacLaren) Christensen. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenda (Chuck) Klotz, Michael (Pam) Jalacki; her grandchildren, Stacey (Levi) VanDenHout, Chris (Danielle) Jalacki (who are expecting their first daughter in January), Chad Klotz, Katelyn Klotz; and her great granddaughters, Paige and Kara VanDenHout. She volunteered much of her time at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Radio Bible Class "RBC". Shirley was a social lady; she travelled with friends from church, she was a "Red Hatter" and played shuffle board with her friends at Lincoln Square. Her family will always remember her as a caring, loving and supportive mom and grandma.

A time for visiting with Shirley's family will be held from 5 to 8 PM Friday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jenison, 1481 Baldwin St., with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. William Wangelin will be officiating. In honor of Shirley, contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Foundation or Walking by Faith, a television ministry of Resurrection Life Church.
