We would like to express our condolences to the family. Linda grew up in Hope CRC and remembers Si & Carrie as very nice, friendly people. We belong to Fellowship CRC, but when we visit Hope, Si loved talking to Mike about his grandson's hockey games since Mike is also a hockey player and referee. We will miss those friendly conversations. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

As anyone who had the privilege to know you and love you, Grandpa Si, we will truly miss you. Through the years, you sat down at your typewriter many a time and your heartfelt letters always brightened my day - always reminded me that we were in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness will always be remembered and we will keep thoughts of you close to our hearts always.

Thinking of you today. Thanks for notifying me. I had been thinking about him lately as I hadn't heard from him. I called him a month ago to tell him about Harvey VanderVeen's death. Did you know that I used to work with your Mother at DePree Company back in 39 to 41 or that area. She was one of my waitresses at our wedding reception. I know you took good care of him and he was happy to live with you.
