He will be lovingly remembered by his children Eric (Keiko) Ishii Eckhardt and Katie (Darrin) Bamm; grandson, Noah Bamm; brother, Robert (Laura) Williams; niece, Barbara Williams; nephews Bobby Williams and David Williams; and many friends.
Steve spent his career teaching at Bursley Elementary School in Jenison. He knew teachers made a difference in the world, and he found joy in that work. He loved learning, teaching, camping, and fishing. He always enjoyed spinning a good story, telling a corny joke, and reading a good book.
