On April 5, 2024 we said a temporary goodbye to Suzanne Kay Watters. Sue was born June 5, 1948 to Floyd and Mary Sue Perria. After a three month battle with cancer, she went to meet her Savior. As she neared the end of life, she was eagerly waiting for her Savior to blow the whistle on the train to carry her home.
Sue loved the Lord Jesus and loved helping kids to know Him too. Along with various children’s ministries at her church, Sue taught release-time Bible clubs through Michigan Bible Clubs for 43 years, finishing her final club just three weeks before her home-going.
Sue is lovingly remembered by her mother, Mary Sue Perria; five siblings Alvin Perria, Pat (Ken) Beckwith, Marcia (Dennis) Kloosterman, Steven (Kathy) Perria, and Deanna (Mike) Miller; husband of 54 years, Carl Watters; and three children Michael Watters, David (Robin) Watters, and Ginger (Stephen) Jordan. Sue is also survived by eight grandchildren Andrew (Emily) Watters, Rebekah Jordan, Hannah (Noah) Kay, Abigail Jordan, Caleb Watters, Bobby Watters, Luke Jordan, and Jonathan Jordan; as well as four great-grandchildren Grace Watters, Bradley Kay, Levi Watters, and Aleena Kay.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life, well-lived in service to her King, at Grandville Bible Church 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024, with fellowship to follow. In memory of Sue and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michigan Bible Clubs https://www.mibibleclubs.org/give/
The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in Sue’s online guest book.
