
DEBOER – Theodore "Ted" DeBoer, 86, of Cutlerville, passed away on Tuesday, January 29. He now rests peacefully in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. Preceding him in glory was his wife of 57 years, Billie. Ted grew up in Dorr and was the fourth of 13 children born to Frank and Hermina DeBoer. Jeanette, Thys, Betty, Dorothy and Gerald preceded him in death.
Ted will be lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Lois and Gord DeBoer Scott and Katie and son Nicolas, Julie and Susie, Jerry and Deb DeBoer Kristi and Matt Wieland, Jenny and B.J. Tomanek and Amanda and Corey Weronko, Bruce and Cindy DeBoer Jackie, Rachel, Liz, Natalie and Olivia, Marilyn Leech Doug and son, Joshua, Gina and Victoria; sisters and brothers, Dena Tanis, Francis Broekhuis, Gene and Irene DeBoer, Mable Bolhuis, John and Evelyn Van Dussen, Bill and Joyce DeBoer and Frank and Dorothy DeBoer; and many nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Ted's life will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at the Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church 2450 85th St. with Thomas K. Groelsema officiating. Burial will take place in Winchester Cemetery. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday and Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center Chapel 2467 84th St.
Memorial contributions in Ted's name may be made to the Byron Center First CRC Building Fund. Ted was deeply devoted to his Savior and was a treasured example to his family and those who knew him.
