Theresa Rose Ancona

ANCONA Theresa Rose Ancona was called to the next life, Thursday, August 28, 2014. Theresa was born in Grand Rapids to Frank and Mary Ancona. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Annette Herp. Theresa retired from the phone company after many years of service. She delighted in her great nieces and nephews, and all her extended family. She became the expert in family Italian recipes and will be remembered as the family organizer. She enjoyed summer and fall days at Lake Michigan, as well as her weekly pool exercise class with her pool friends and her special instructor, Adriana.

She will be deeply missed by her brothers and sister, Msgr. Gaspar Ancona, Mary Ancona, and Peter (Cindy) Ancona; special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, 11 AM at St. Sebastian Church, 9480 Wilson SW, Byron Center. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Relatives and friends may meet her family at St. Sebastian Church Tuesday from 4:30 - 7:30 PM and Wednesday from 10 -11 AM. A Vigil prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 PM at St. Sebastian Church. Her family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com. Theresa loved her church family at St. Sebastian. Contributions in memory of Theresa may be made to St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
