
He was the husband of the late Vesta Elizabeth Knudson Evans for 58 loving years.
He was born in Palatka, Florida on September 16, 1910.
He was the son of the late Thomas Davis Evans, Jr. and the late Helen Floried Burt.
Reverend Evans was a pastor, teacher, and missionary who was ordained with the Assemblies of God in 1938.
He graduated from Georgia Military Academy, Southern California Bible School and also attended Georgia Tech and the University of Florida.
Reverend Evans is survived by a son, Richard Evans and his wife Roxane of Lansing, MI, a daughter, Kathryn Uotinen and her husband Veikko of Lynchburg; four granddaughters, Laea, Erika and Ariel Evans, all of Lansing, Joan Adcock and her husband David of Lynchburg; one grandson, Karl Uotinen and his wife Lisa of Daleville; four great granddaughters, Kathryn, Elizabeth and Alexandra of Lynchburg, and Ana Uotinen of Daleville; and one great grandson, Daniel Adcock of Lynchburg.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, in the Lighthouse Auditorium of First Assembly of God, Grand Rapids, MI, with former Pastor Wayne Benson officiating.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville.
