Thomas Edmund Hargitt, age 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, February 27, 2022, while surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents George Jr. and Mary Alice Hargitt. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 30 years, Pamela Hargitt; sons David (Emily) Hargitt, Scott Hargitt, and Mark Hargitt; sister, Julie (Alan) LaVigne; niece, Melissa (Brian) Garlej and their son, Tyler Garlej; four-legged canine companion, Gabby; and many extended relatives and friends.
Tom enjoyed many hobbies including spending time outdoors, woodworking, and especially music. He wrote and composed his own music, and shared it with many others. His love of dirt biking and road riding was shared with his sons. Tom also loved spending time with his family, both relaxing and camping together. Most importantly he cherished his faith in Jesus and wanted to share it with all whom he met.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building) with visitation from 2-2:45 p.m. prior to the service. In memory of Tom and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or Degage Ministries.
