I am so sad to hear of Tom's passing. I only met him a few years ago when he came into my office to "give me a few tips." I had just begun working as the church secretary at Wesley Park and he came in to tell me how much he liked the newsletter that I had been producing and to give me a few pointers. I love it! and I immediately loved him! He would come in from time to time and visit and tell me about the war and Italy. He will be sorely missed. I first met Tom about 9 or 10 years ago when I began attending Wesley Park church. I came to church by myself, and sat next to Tom. He was so friendly to me and immediately made me feel welcome. We would sit together every week. He told me all about his family and how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. And then he would draw on his bulletin, beautiful pictures, during the service. I always looked forward to visiting with him at church. A few years ago I started to attend the early service because the timing worked better for my family. We still ran into each other between services, but I have always missed sitting with him every week. I am so sorry for the loss you all must be feeling. Tom was a wonderful, caring man and he will be greatly missed.

Our hearts are broken to hear of Toms passing.
 Tom York has been and always will be one of the most remarkable people we have ever met, we feel very fortunate to have called him our friend. You're lucky, if you meet someone like him in your lifetime. He had the uncanny ability to interact with the young and old alike. He made you feel like your opinion mattered and was valued. We will always treasure our friendship. He meant so much to us, that we can't express our loss. We enjoyed every minute we spent with him, in Church and at his house. His wisdom, kindness and, generosity to others will never be forgotten. Tom and his wife Mary Alice can finally be together in heaven, she meant the world to him. Dear Debbie, Judy and Tommy and families: I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was my literally oldest friend and I loved him very much. He had so much wisdom and I am so blessed to have been able to have so many chats and memories with him. We would talk about and laugh about things from politics to Michael Jackson. I will really miss him. The world has lost a good, sweet and kind-hearted man who knew how to be a good friend. Thank you all for sharing him with me for all these years. I am so very sorry to learn of Uncle Tom's death. He was a talented man and I know he and Dad were close. In fact, in my living room there's a photo of the two of them, about ages five and six, playing pirate outside their home in Oklahoma.
 I have great memories of visiting the family at the lake.
