Thressa Stehouwer

STEHOUWER Oppenhuizen – Thressa Stehouwer, age 91, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 05, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Stehouwer, Jr.; infant son, Herman James; and daughter-in-law Carol. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David Alberta Stehouwer, Penny Ed Hoezee, and Shelley Stehouwer; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chris Jim Vander Werf with Alisha, Holly Hoezee with Kyleigh, Jonathan Hoezee, Wendy Bill Romberg with Hannah and Ethan, Susan Michael Tierney with Olivia, Cathy Tim Stiles with Xander and Bella, and Niccol John English; brothers-in-law, Don Chris Stehouwer and Robert Marian Stehouwer.

Thressa was a retired school librarian and loved to tell stories.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grandville First Reformed Church, 3060 Wilson SW. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, West Building.
