Thurlene was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School and was married to her beloved husband, Wayne, for 66 years. She was very creative and excelled at many crafts: needlepoint, cross stitch, knitting, painting, and sewing. Thurlene had an adventurous and spunky spirit. She was always on the go and never sat still. She loved camping, boating, and travel, which she shared with Wayne and has passed on to her children. She was also a very good cook and we share many heartfelt memories of family gathered around the table enjoying her great food.
A celebration of Thurlene’s life will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, with visitation beginning at 3 p.m. at the home of Wayne and Thurlene: 5056 Stanton Street, Hudsonville, MI 49426. After the service, please join us as we honor our parents and cherish spending time with friends and family with a cookout and old-fashioned potluck dinner.
In honor of Thurlene and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.
