The foundation of Tim’s life in family, work and community was his firm faith in Jesus. Tim enjoyed his work whether it was at Michigan Egg where he was a partner with his brother, Glenn or selling plants and produce at the farmers market. Many of his Michigan Egg and farmers market customers became his friends. Tim was a quiet guy with a warm smile and a listening ear. He enjoyed working on their family farm and taking grandkids for gator and tractor rides. He was known for the hostas that he grew.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Klamer; his siblings Don Klamer, Brenda Klamer, and Scott Klamer; and his brother in law John Van Dis.
Tim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Wilma Klamer (Van Dis); their children Doug and Lisa Klamer (Hannah, Heidi), Dave and Kate Klamer (Josh, Levi, Olivia, Adelyn, Zeke), Katie and Sione Polume (Elijah, Ethan, Lydia), Kelli and Dustin Zwier (Andrew, Abby); his mother, Dorothy Klamer; his siblings, Lee and Linda Klamer, Glenn and Laurie Klamer, Stacey Warners; his sisters- and brothers- in-law Sue Klamer, Alice Klamer, Adrian and Barb Van Dis, Shirley Van Dis, Marlene and Rich Sal, Connie and Todd Mesbergen, Rick and Sue Van Dis; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 1 at Heritage Christian Reformed Church, 3089 84th St. SW in Byron Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 2, at church, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Pastor Bob Bolt will officiate. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
