
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, his daughter, Sherry Gary Leyendecker; daughter-in-law Chris Schutz; grandchildren Rachel, Keith, Courtney, Seth; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Madisyn.
He was preceded in death by his son Stephen and great-grandchildren, Shaphen, Emily and Caylin.
Pastor Schutz spent 43 years blending his love of people with preaching God’s Word. His family best remembers him for his godly character and his gentle love. His congregations remember him the same way.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 4th from the Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St. in Byron Center.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home, west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville and from 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday at Rush Creek Bible Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rush Creek Bible Church Building Fund or Grace Bible College.
