I was so shocked to hear from Jenny about Veronica's sudden death. I have such fond memories of Veronica in band and how hard she worked in high school to make herself an excellent trumpet player. She was and will continue to be a great example of what hard work and dedication is all about. She will be missed by all of us in the band family.

I was a few years younger but I remember her in high school as having a great sense of humor and many many friends! I'm very sorry to hear about her passing and my thoughts are with her loved ones during this time.

Veronica played such a dear role in our child, Nolan's life. She will be remembered as being kind, patient, and loving. I know he will miss her and think of her as he grows up. Veronica loved to tease me about the day we met. She would often joke with me and say she never really had a choice in the matter of being my friend. SheA'd smirk at me as only she could and tell me that I was lucky she didnA't slap me for talking her ear off that fateful day. 
 I met Veronica on the way to a tennis match in junior high. When I saw her, she was sitting by herself near the back of the bus, minding her own business. I just kept looking at herA-sitting alone, staring out the window. At that very moment, I decided that she needed a friend. So, I moved to the seat in front of her and proceeded to bombard her with inane chatter for the rest of the trip. You shouldA've seen her faceA-I thought she really was going to hit me! 
 As it turned out, I was the one who needed a friendA-and Veronica become my best friend and constant companion throughout high school and college. She was always there for me to lean on and was able to make me laugh when no one else could. Even after I moved miles away, I knew that if I ever needed someone to help me, Veronica would be there. 
 As IA've gotten older, IA've come to realize that if you're lucky, youA'll meet a handful of people that touch your life in such a way as to change its course forever. Veronica was one of those people for me. I am so fortunate for having known her. 
 I loved her very much and will truly miss her.

I will never forget all of the times I was able to share with Veronica. We have been friends since childhood. There are a lot of great memories to choose from, however I could never possibly list them all. Her family and friends are in my prayers. Love you forever my dear friend.

Dear Doriana & Craig,
 Her earthy body have left you but her spirit will always be there with you. You will feel her presence every day. It is so hard to believe that she left this earth at a very young age but somehow I believe she is safe in the arms of her grandfathers and reunited with them in heaven. She is at peace now. She was loved and will continue loving her by you and every one. Hang on to those wonderful memories that Veronica left you. Remember that your loss is shared by many friends.  I first met Veronica at your 25th year wedding anniversary. she was a proud daughter and a happy one. She was full of life and laughter. I am sorry that I did not get to see much of her. Dear Doriana, Craig, Michael and Adam:

 I met Veronica recently and was struck by how much she resembed Doriana as a young woman. 
 While at their house, Doriana gave a hilarious commentary as we watched some old family movies, as we also listened to Craig's dry quips on Doriana's commentary. I was in stitches listening not just to the two of them but also to Veronica's gentle pokes at her parents commentaries. Those moments will always remind me of the love and joy of the family.

I first met Veronica when she was just a little girl and later when she was a young lady and later again as young lady when she was visiting in Firenze. I remember her as a beautiful, gentle and bright girl. She had the A"BertoniA" smile. I never met Veronica, but knowing you for many years at GVSU, I would imagine that she was a very special young woman. As a mother, my heart grieves for your loss. I just found out that Veronica passed, and I would like just let the family know that I was deeply saddend by my findings. I have so many memories of growing up with her and the family. Though it has been several years since I spoke with Veronica, I think of her often and will continue to do so. I will keep you all in my prayers.
