Virginia Marie Molyneux

MOLYNEUX-Virginia Marie Molyneux, age 85, of Kentwood passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2011. She joins her heavenly Father and her late husband, Calvin Wayne Molyneux. Virginia Barber and Calvin were married at St. Simons Catholic Church in Ludington, MI in October of 1944. As the wife of a career military serviceman, Virginia led an interesting and exciting life while living in many states as well as Europe and raising a family of six children.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Stobbe, Mary Sneider, Geraldine Molyneux (Gary Kovitz), Patricia (Fred) Dietrich, David (Mary) Molyneux, Donald (Sharon) Molyneux ; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandson. In her last few years when dementia required additional care, Virginia was blessed to have the support of all of her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by two sisters, Frances (Harold) Tate and Martha (Don) Goff and a long time friend, Marianne Tanis. Virginia is preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, two son-in-laws and one great grandson.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm Monday at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1295 52nd St. Kentwood with Fr. Michael Alber celebrant. The interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Cook Funeral Home Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building) with a vigil service at 4:30 pm.
