

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alberta of 63 years; children Liz Licari, Terri (John) Licari-DeMay, Vince (Alesia) Licari; granddaughters Olivia, Christina, Hannah; sister, Mary Nowak and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Vito was born of Italian immigrants, and was a first generation American who served his country during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1954. Following his service, he worked for 37 years with Grand Rapids Gravel Company and continued to enjoy friendships with his fellow retired workers at a monthly breakfast gathering.
Vito will be remembered for his warmth, hospitality, helping spirit, love of life, sense of humor, service to his fellow veterans, and his larger than life personality.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5-8PM, Monday, February 19, 2018 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI with a Rosary Vigil beginning at 7:30PM.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville. Father Chris Rouech will be officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in memory of Vito to the Alzheimer’s (Dementia) Association – Greater MI – West MI Chapter.
