Walter Sybesma

Walter James Sybesma, age 68, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 12, 2021. Walter was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Trina Sybesma; sister, Donna Wynia; and son-in-law, Kurt Anderson. He will be remembered by his wife of 42 years, Arla Sybesma; children Kevin and Amy (Sybesma) DenBoer and their children Jaylen and Mya; Josh and Jennifer (Sybesma) Koros and their children Elijah, Isaac, Malachi, and Nehemiah; Josh and Kristen (Sybesma) Clark and their children Asher, Emma, and Adley; sisters Barb and Russ Tobolic, Carol and Tom Post, and Evie and Chris Jansen; brother, Rich and Bev Sybesma; brother-in-law, Ron and Nyla Wynia; and a large circle of family and friends.

Walt was a man of integrity - devoted husband, father, and grandfather who influenced many with his words of encouragement throughout his life. He had a love for yard work and landscaping, and took pride in restoring old furniture. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He moved to Michigan in 1977.

For 27 years, he was a package delivery driver for UPS. Prior to retirement, he completed his working career at Costco. For more than 40 years, his relationship to his Creator, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was number one in his life. His passion to serve and encourage those in need was evident in all he did.

Visitation with friends and relatives will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Grand Rapids First - Prayer Chapel, 2100 44th Street SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. One hour of visitation will commence prior to the service. Pastor Ken Stults will

officiate. In honor of Walter and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tri-Unity Christian School, 5353 Wilson Avenue, Wyoming, Michigan 49418 (Triunitychristian.org).
