Wayne Eugene Brower, age 90 of Byron Center, has been welcomed to God’s heavenly home that was prepared for him in advance. Wayne was blessed in this life with two loving marital relationships. Wayne was preceded in death by his dear wife of 52 years, Kay (Setsma) Brower. Wayne and Kay had two children together Scott (Esther) and Beth (Lou) Brower Hill; five grandchildren Leah, Sean (Ashley), Seth, Tucker (Heather), and Shelby; three great-grandchildren Ethan Wayne, Amelia, and Rory.
Wayne served his country in the US Army-Engineers and Construction Division. He took that skill home to become a respected home builder in Jenison, not only building homes but lifelong relationships with others in that industry. Together, Kay and Wayne also built support into the young lives of 54 foster children.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 12 years Donna (Miedema) Brower. God exponentially blessed him with this addition to his household through the loving relationship with Donna Mae and her children Kathy (Duane) Mingerink, Sid (Lisa) Miedema, and Scott Miedema; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grands that brought smiles into his life. Wayne had a lightning fast wit and enjoyed the companionship of family, friends, church family and his A.M. coffee buddies. He enjoyed fishing throughout his life and earned bragging rights for good naturedly winning nearly every game he played. He is preceded in death by his sisters Milly (Visser) and Evelyn (DeWitt); brothers Merle, Jerry, Lavern; Donna's daughter, Carol; and is survived by brother, Paul.
