
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Erna; his sons, William and Heli, and Steve and Chris; daughter Donna Christensen; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Michael, Joey, Molly, and Amber; sister Frances Beardslee.
Bill was a veteran of World War II and served his country in the Air Force in the Military Police.
Bill also worked at General Motors for 42 years and retired in 1992.
He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St. SW -east building with Pastor Earl Merz officiating.
Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
