
Bill was a proud Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated letter carrier for 35 years. He worked out of Station C in East town, where he thought so very much of the patrons on his route.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Clyde; his brother Patrick; and his sister Jacqueline Baxter. He is lovingly remembered by Sally, his wife of 34 years; his memory is also cherished by his children Michelle Brent Vanden Berge, Shannon Bill Jr. Cahill; his precious grandchildren Cody & Tyler Vanden Berge, Brandon & Jadon Cahill; his mother Denise Cole; his father-in-law Marvin Osterink; his brother Phillip Cindy Cole; his brother-in-law Don Baxter; and sisters-in-law Sandra Osterink, Deb Koperski; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW. Fr. George Darling will be presiding. A time for relatives and friends to visit with the family will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 & 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, a rosary will be held at 8:30 p.m., at Cook Funeral Home west building, 4235 Prairie St. SW.
