William L. Miller

William Lyod Miller, age 61, passed away November 7, 2021. Bill was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is survived by mother, Bonnie Bailey; brother, Mason (Sheila R.) Miller; sister, Jeannie Jo Carlon; niece, Terri Jo (Michael) Lusk and children Robbie and Johnnie; nephews Jason, Austin, Aaron, Ryan, and Nathan Miller; beloved daughter, Jessica Brand; dear grandchildren Roman and Juniper; and his life partner, Joan Ohlmacher. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charlie Miller.

Bill attended Baptist Academy High School in Grand Rapids and obtained a BA in fine arts from Kendall College of Art and Design before beginning his career as an artist and builder. He especially enjoyed travel, nature, and gathering with friends. He eventually settled in Hawaii, together with Joan, in 2014, after traveling there for many years to be near his daughter and her family.

Bill had a passion for beautiful places and enjoyed creating beautifully designed buildings. He was a devoted friend to many and will be forever missed.
