Willis H. Flokstra, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior July 30, 2024. Willis was born August 22, 1936 in Grand Rapids, the son of the late Henry and Stella Flokstra. Willis married Marian M. Miles. He retired from Morrison Industrial Equipment.
Willis is survived by his sister, Nancy (Ken) Myers; treasured nieces and nephews Ken (Kerisa) Myers Jr., Janna Myers, Lynnae (Bryan) Hicks, and Renae Doyle; eight great-nephews; six great-great-nephews; three great-great-nieces; and special cousin, Gene Kamer. Willis was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Stella Flokstra; wife, Marian; and nephews Kelly Doyle and Brian Myers.
The memorial service to honor Willis will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Willis’ family will meet with friends and relatives from 10 a.m. until the time of services in the chapel. A private graveside service was held at Kent Memorial Gardens.
