Tony was born on November 9, 1939, in San Jose, California, to Paul & Gertrude Licata.
Spending time with his children and grandchildren was his favorite pastime. He was an avid SF 49er fan as well as NASCAR.
He proudly served his country in the Army from 1958 to 1961. After his military service, he spent his time as an amateur Motorcycle racer and on the NASCAR circuit.
In 1973 he purchased his first business, a Shell Station in Santa Cruz, CA. He was very proud of this station; it was the cleanest service station ever. He was meticulous that way. He owned many different businesses, from coffee shops to clothing stores.
In 1980 he moved to Sunny Valley, Oregon, with his family. He taught his children how to ride motorcycles, coached little league, and built a little farm on his property.
He was very active in the local AA group; at the end of this month, he would have celebrated his 15th “Birthday,” and we are so proud!
Tony is survived by his sister Audreene Ely, his son Paul Licata, his daughters Terri (Kurt) Henry, Kimberly (Dan) Hayes, Grandchildren Marissa Henry, Michael Hayes, Jamie Henry, and Ryan Hayes, along with his beloved kitty Sawyer.
Memories and expressions of sympathy can be shared here in Tony’s guestbook.
