Arthur Stanfill of Grants Pass passed away on Monday, November 27 at Highland House. Arthur was born in Oneida Tennessee and was raised in Glendale Oregon. While in the service he was a corpsman on the ship U.S.S. Haven and the U.S.S. Thomaston. While he was stationed at the Long Beach Naval Station he met his wife Esther and after two children were born they came to Grants Pass to make it their home. He worked for the Robert Dollar Mill in Glendale and for the Medite Corp. Mill in Rogue River. He enjoyed working in the garage making all kinds of furniture, he loved to fish and hunt, and most of all he love being a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren. At the time of his death he was working on restoring a 1931 Chevy Coupe. Arthur is survived by his wife, children: Sharon Harwell, Kenneth Stanfill both of Grants Pass. Grandchildren Skyler Westra, Zachery Harwell, Shania and Brock Stanfill, Brothers: Denney from Glendale, Bill from Grants Pass Carlis from Clarion PA, James Stanfill and many nieces and nephews.
