Betty Jean Erps

Betty grew up among the avocado groves and the sandy beaches of San Diego. In 1956 she met and married Sherill Webb. They moved to Ventura CA to begin married life and raise a family. Betty was an active parent in the PTA, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Girls and 4-H.

She began a new chapter in her life on December 26, 1982, when she married her soul mate Glen Erps. Betty and Glen moved to Grants Pass, OR in 7989. Together they built a new home and assisted in building two different churches.

Betty loved to travel, she and Glen visited many countries together. They traversed the U>S> for both pleasure and to assist the American Red Cross, providing child care to families dealing with disaster.

Betty took joy in helping others. She ran the Dorcas Society for both her Ventura Church and later the North Valley Seventh-Adventist Church. She was always willing to assist someone in need.

Betty loved to garden, camp and spend time at the coast. Family gatherings were always a joy with a rowdy game of croquet included.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband Glen, son Tim Webb, daughters Teresa Leard, Stephanie Smith and Barbara Kallay. Five stepchildren: David Erps, Randall Erps, Clay Erps, Londa Bagot, Tracy Figueroa, 29 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday October 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at the North Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in Merlin. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapel of the Valley-L.B. Hall Funeral Home.
