Edward Burns 86, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Edward was born August 10, 1935 in New York, to James and Sarah Burns. He arrived in California in 1945 and in September 1956 married Yvonne Markota, who preceded him in death on November 23, 2018. He served in the Los Angeles City Fire Department from 1962 to 1982 and retired as an assistant fire chief. After he retired he moved to Oregon and he taught at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland for several years. Ed enjoyed family, camping, fishing, and teaching. He was a loving, kind, caring, supportive husband and father. Ed is survived by 7 children, 7 grand children, and 7 great grand children. Private family services will be held. Chapel of the Valley-L.B. Hall Funeral home is entrusted with the arrangements.
