

Kathy was raised in Oklahoma and later moved to Texas where she attended Beauty School. She began her career in Lubbock, TX in 1962 as a beautician and she also managed a local bar/ restaurant in Lubbock. In 1968 she moved to Cupertino, CA where she began working in retail as a salesclerk. She loved people, which was evident with how much she enjoyed working for Payless Drugs, which later became Rite Aid. She transferred to Grants Pass in 1995, where she has lived ever since. She retired in 1998, to care for several ailing family members. In 1999, she married Ken Ogren, and they had 25 years together.
Kathy loved spending time outdoors horseback riding, gardening, and snuggling with her precious pets that she loved & owned over the years . Kathy enjoyed traveling , especially during her trips back to Oklahoma and the Oregon Coast. She also found time keeping herself fit walking and getting outdoor exercise whenever she could. Kathy was a devoted Christian who touched many lives through serving the Lord . Kathy was an overcomer, and even though she faced much adversity, she truly enjoyed her life, her beloved family, and her 4 precious yorkies .
Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanie Elliot, her son George Steven Hamilton, her husband Jerry Holten and her Step-son Wayne Holten, and her siblings Fran, Millie, John, and Immon . She is survived by her husband Ken Ogren, her daughter Tracy Reagan VanDelden, her brother Leonard Russell, her half sister Lagusta Evans Fiehl, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild . In lieu of flowers you can donate in her honor, to The Wounded Warrior’s project for veterans or Shriners hospitals for children .
