Mildred Pearl Nunes

Mildred ‘Millie’ Nunes, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 22, 2021 with family members at her side. She was known for her light-hearted pursuit of fun and quick wit. Born in Springer, Oklahoma, Millie’s family moved to Morgan Hill, California when she was five years old. She attended Morgan Hill schools until her sophomore year in high school when she and her parents moved to the Cambrian Park area of what was then south San Jose. She graduated from Campbell high school where she was a competitive and spirited participant in numerous athletic sports.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Gladys. She leaves her beloved husband Les, children Toni, Teri, Leslie, George (Dana) and Tiffani. She was a loved grandmother to Nicole (Matthew), Russell, Mason, Danalyn, Cody, Dustin, Steven (Melanie), Kristen (Adam), Melanie (Kyle) and great-grandmother to Jazmyne, Neveah, Levi, Michael, Nixon, Cadence, Kingston and Freya. She also leaves two beloved sisters, Leta and Louise, a brother in law Dale, and many nieces and nephews.

She loved cooking, crafting, gardening, jigsaw puzzling, sewing and travel but her greatest love were her family and friends.
