I was saddened to hear of Al's passing. Al and I worked together for about 15 years. During that time we had many conversations about New Mexico and wrestling, two of his favorite subjects. The thing that I will remember most about Al is his smile. Al always had a big smile for everyone, even when he was having a bad day. Al was a good friend, and I will miss him.

Al loved his kids and was a great mentor and coach to kids in wrestling. Always involved helping others.

Albert has been my friend and neighbor since I was three. He was always outside working. I remember when Albert and Eileen would have Caroline and me over to watch a movie and have a treat. One time we got our tennis ball stuck in the tree and he came out with a ladder and stick and was determined to help us get it out. We will all miss Albert so much. Love, Annabelle (age 12)

Albert was such a good friend and neighbor. He was the neighbor and friend anyone would be so fortunate to have. Our family is so saddened by his sudden passing. We will all miss him dearly; Albert was so helpful and nice to all five of us. He was always offering to fix something in our house and teach my husband how to do a repair. He was so kind to all three of my girls. Every time we go outside, we expect to see Albert working on something, and we are all so saddened that he won't be there. We will miss our daily conversations. We all love you and miss you so much, and we always will. Love, Stephanie Cheatham

Albert was always outside hard at work. Whenever I got home from school or work, he would always say hi to me and ask me how my day was. He was so kind and would always stop what he was doing to help my family if we needed anything. One time when I got home from school and my garage door opener wasn't working, Albert stopped what he was doing and fixed my garage door opener so I could get inside my house. He was so kind and I am thankful that I got to have him as a neighbor for so many years! We will miss seeing you and talking to you!

Stephanie, Brooke, Annabelle & Caroline and I have been Albert & Eileen Lujan's next door neighbors since 2011. They welcomed us to our home before we even bought it. We shared many happy seasons with them and truly loved getting to know them. Eileen was so good with our girls, always giving them sweets, presents or braiding their hair while Albert and I would lean on our tools and talk politics (I can still hear his voice, "That's just not right."). We are so saddened by the sudden loss of a good man, a man with integrity and honor through and through. We will miss you so much and know that you have earned this heavenly reward. Goodbye, good friend. Love, Jonathan, Stephanie, Brooke, Annabelle & Caroline.
