Betty Carol Lane was born September 24, 1939 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of J.B. and Hortense Chumley. She passed from this life July 5, 2014. Betty had worked as a Cafeteria Manager for the Richardson Independent School District. She was a member of the Hideaway Community Church and enjoyed reading, needlework and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Lane; daughter, Leslie Lane Wilemon and a sister, Jackie Durand. Betty leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dean Lane of Keller; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Michael Turnbow of Roanoke; grandchildren, Ben Wilemon, JEremy Rankin, Kate Dickson and Jesse Rankin; great-grandchildren, Braeden Garland, Ty Lily Rankin, Caleb Dickson, Jacob Garland and Lane Dickson. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:30 am at the J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 pm. Interment will be held at 2:30pm at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
