I was in a hospital in the southern US and had been for several, of the many weeks i was there, My mom never left my side, Surgery after surgery day after day. Everyday i open my eys and she was always right there so she would be the first thing i saw, She slept there as well, and i am not talking a couch in the waiting room or one of those chairs that folds out into a bed. I am talking on the concrete floor right beside my bed with a pillow and blanket. She told me the night i got to the hospital"Boy don't you give up on me, i will fight god himslef for my first born, we will get throught this together" And together we did get through it, but at one point she was sleeping on the concrete floor beside my bed and I had one of my reoccuring nightmarews and started kicking and when i did, i kicked a completly brand new piture of Ice water all over her, while she was sleeping from the bedside table, she jumped up gasping from the cold water, and after realizing what had happened and what she was soked with , which took about 5 or 6 seconds. She Just smiled, that smile that only Mom could smile and said "Oh Hell I was needing a shower anyway" and we just laughed, that was the first time in over a month I had laughed at all, and there was much more laughter after that with her. She could bring out the laughter in anyone.

Our condolences to the Starr family. Beverly was my cousin (really the only cousin I ever knew from my father's side of the family. My father was Rube's brother RB. ) I remember her as a girl - a lovely, sweet person. May your wonderful memories of Beverly be a comfort to you all.
