Bobbie JoAnn Lejarzar
January 7, 1934 – February 23, 2018
BOBBIE LEJARZAR Bobbie JoAnn Lejarzar, age 84, passed peacefully on February 23, 2018, after a five year battle with Alzheimer’s. Bobbie was born January 7, 1934, in, Springtown, Texas, the daughter of Ira Milburn King and Myrtle Prewitt King. Bobbie thoroughly enjoyed life. She was always on the go…garage selling, working puzzles, shopping, sewing, sporting events, tending to children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc. Bobbie graduated from Azle High School where she was elected class favorite and was valedictorian of her class in 1947. In 1951, Bobbie married her husband of 66 years, Al Lejarzar and after he completed his U.S. Coast Guard duty, they moved from Long Beach, California to Fort Worth. Bobbie worked over 25 years as a secretary for local insurance companies. Al and Bobbie lived in Haltom City since 1964. Bobbie was very active in the community through the years serving as a board member in the local Optimist organization. Being an excellent seamstress, she annually donated quilts and blankets for the local children and women shelters.
Bobbie is survived by her husband Al Lejarzar, sister Toy Steel of Newark, Tx, daughter Becky Lejarzar- Bond of Keller, Tx , sons Al Lejarzar, Jr. of Venice Beach, Fla. and Gary Lejarzar of Saginaw, Tx.. She was preceded in death by sisters Bety King Hines and Annie Darlene King.
Bobbie is survived by nine sweet grandchildren Whitney Robertson, Holly Pollard, Chris Lejarzar, Laura Hagler, Amy Fultz, Amanda Bryant, Annie Copeland, Jason Lejarzar, and Suzanna Lejarzar.
Bobbie also had ten great-grandchildren Kelsey Pollard, Katie Busby, Kolby Owens, 6 month old Brinley Perez, Riley Lejarzar, Luke Fultz, Angelea Bryant, Andrew Bryant, Jonah Copeland, and CashWestlake.
The family wishes to thank the Whitley Place, Parkwood Healthcare Community, Woodridge Health and Rehabilitation, Freedom Hospice and all of those who cared for Bobbie throughout her long illness. There will be a private service for immediate family members at the JE Foust Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, online memorial donations can be sent to www.Alz.org. in Bobbie Lejarzar’s name.
