

Bobby Glen Woodard, of Irving, Texas, passed away on February 6, 2024 in Irving. He will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on July 17, 1938 in Vernon, Texas to Douglas and Velma Woodard.
Bobby was a graduate of Ralls High School where he met the love of his life, Necie Paschal. They married June 28, 1957 and settled in Lubbock, TX. He went to work for Johnson Manufacturing Company. They moved to Lorenzo in 1965 and purchased an insurance agency where he worked until moving to Irving with his family in 1968. He accepted a position at General Electric. He worked himself up to Southern States Parts Manager and retired in 1993.
Bobby dedicated the rest of his life to his family. He and Aaron spent summers and many days together while “Ceecee worked for the minnow money for them to spend”. Bobby and Necie enjoyed spending many vacations together in New Mexico and Colorado with family. They spent every possible moment at their home at Graham Lake.
He loved taking Denise to the stock car races in Lubbock. They went to every race no matter the time or weather. He enjoyed fishing and Nascar. He coached soccer for the Celtics and went to every possible game to watch his Sons and Grandchildren play whatever sport they were playing.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Necie, his daughter, Denise Rouse, sons, Rick Woodard and his wife Kristin and Rob Woodard and his wife Stacy. Grandchildren Aaron Lancaster and his wife Jennifer, Hailey Woodard and her fiancée Clayton Cramer, Ben Woodard and Cayden Woodard. His brother, Mike Woodard, his sister Sandy Wallace and her husband Ronnie along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas, mother, Velma, and his sister, Nancy along with his mother and father in law Juanita and RV Pratt and his son in law Bob Rouse.
The visitation will be held from 2- 3 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, February 10th at J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home in Grapevine. The Funeral Service will be held at 3 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, February 10th following the visitation at Foust. Entombment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Colleyville.
