I met Roney when we were in Elementary school in Dallas.

He moved into my parents first home shortly after we moved out.
Roney noticed some of the cartoons I was drawing in my school book, and asked if I ever lived on Wood Dale because he found drawings that looked a lot like them drawn on his homes garage walls.

That was when we both found out he and I had lived in the same house. After that we were friends from about the 3rd or 4th grade through our freshman year in High School.

He moved out of our High School my Junior year, but we stayed friends for the rest of our lives.
He is the last person on earth that knew me while I was still a little kid still in Cub Scout.
He was a life long friend of over 60 years, and a really good guy.

I wish I could have spent more time with him these last few years.

So sorry for your loss,
