One word I have to describe Dan would be genuine. Dan was such a great friend and he is already so missed. Dan and I have been good friends since high school and had continued to talk everyday throughout our first year of college. I have also become such good friends with his sister Emi. I see the same incredible qualities that Dan had through Emi. It’s so beautiful to be able to see Dan live through his little sister. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the Thomas family.
Much love,
Olivia Klement

Words cannot express the sorrow we are feeling for you at this time. I remember going on a ski trip to Breckenridge with the Thomas family, one of the first times I met Dan. We had such a blast and I quickly learned that Dan was a truly genuine, fun, and nice person. One thing that always stuck out to me was that Dan said hi to me with a smile every single time he saw me at school, which always made me feel good. I am thinking and praying for the Thomas family.

Dear Thomas Family,

It was a tremendous shock to learn of Dan’s passing. We are all very saddened by the news and words cannot convey how sorry we are for your loss.
We knew Dan as a youngster in Long Beach and it was clear he was a good kid raised right with a bright future ahead of him. It’s also clear from the other comments that he has much love, respect and admiration as well.
Times like this put in perspective what is really important in life and we hope and pray for your entire family to find a way to make it through this tragedy. Know that Dan will be in our hearts and minds and we appreciate the time that we had to know him.

With Love, The Maze Family

I didn't know Dan for long but my Senior year in high school he started hanging out with us. The moment I met him I knew he was a good guy and was raised the right way. I remember one time we bored out of our minds and Dan came up with the idea to go to the lake and go fishing. Whether we were listening to music and waiting for the fish or reeling them in he always had a smile on his face. Another great memory of Dan I have is one Saturday morning I met up with him and Cole at the driving range. I decided to bring some donuts for us and Dan wouldn't let that slide. For the rest of the day he was offering to buy me food or any other way to pay me back and show his appreciation. I know we weren't close for long but we were still friends and prayers go out to the Thomas Family and all of Dan's other friends.

Dan and I spent a lot of time together my junior year summer, before he went off to college and we wouldn’t be able to see each other as often. Whenever I saw Dan in school he always would say hi or ask me how I was doing. He was one of the nicest, most genuine, and caring people I’ve ever met. My favorite memory with Dan was walking down the trail with him arm in arm laughing listening to music and talking. When he told me I was a great friend that night I knew he meant it and it’ll always be in my memories. No words can say how heartbroken and shocked I am.

To Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, his siblings, and his other friends. I’m so sorry for your loss and you have my best wishes. We’re all here for you.

With Love,
