

Dolly Warrington was born in Abbington, Illinois to a young widow, Etta “Alice” Cramblett Germond on October 5, 1918. Dolly grew up in Southern California and was raised from the age of 6 in the Masonic Home for Children until her high school graduation. She always spoke highly of her time there and the care given her. She lived briefly with her mother before meeting her husband Harold Warrington. They were married June 26, 1937 in Pasadena, California. They moved to their farm south of Austin in 1947, accompanied by their sons, Edward and Craig. Their daughter Ramona was born in 1952. Dolly resided on that farm until 2006. In 2006, she moved in Weslaco, Texas where she resided until 2011. Due to declining health, she lived her last three years with her daughter and son-in-law Dewey Walker and grandson William Blowers in Euless, Texas. She was generous, thoughtful and loving with all her family and friends. She was a wonderful hostess and made everyone feel welcome in her home. She loved to sew and knit. She became an avid reader. She loved to dance and play cards. She was always active in her local church. She is survived by her son, Edward Warrington of Sarasota and her daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Dewey Walker of Euless, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Michael Warrington of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Dana and Rick Hancock of Jacksonville, Florida, Joseph and Michelle Warrington of Foley, Alabama, Eileen and Jeff Cooper, Lisa Warrington of Huntsville, Alabama, Sam and Serena Warrington of Waconia, Minnesota, Genoe and Robert Sundby of Rapid City, South Dakota, William D. Blowers, II of Euless, Texas and Sarah and Niles Romano of Irving, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren, Chase and Clay Hancock, Amber and Terra Warrington, Christopher, Jacob and Joshua Cooper, Mikayla, Jerica and Toby Warrington, Parker and Samantha Sundby and Oliver Romano. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduoard and Alice Germond; her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Audrey Germond; her sister, Ramona Whitescarver and husband Harold, her great-grandson, Tristan, her siblings and their spouses, many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed. We will be honored to share our memories and celebrate her life with all who wish to join us. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm at Clasen-Jordan Funeral Home on December 28. Her funeral service will be at 11am, Dec. 29, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Austin, Minnesota. Interment will follow at Cedar City Cemetery with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dolly’s name may be made to Cedar City Cemetery Association, c/o Mary Henry, 101 24th St. SW, Austin, MN 55912.
