Gene was a graduate and proud supporter of Ohio State University. He worked as a comptroller for automobile dealerships across the southeast, and traveled widely establishing financial offices nationwide. After retiring from the automotive sector, he transitioned into direct-mail marketing and data-processing advertising, including work with the United States Postal Service. For many years, he also served in training and education roles for the United States Coast Guard. In 2016, Gene began a new chapter in real estate, joining RE/MAX Trinity in Southlake.
He and his wife Kathy made their home in Trophy Club, where Gene was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed target shooting, as well as following baseball and football. Gene was a proud volunteer with the Trophy Club Emergency Volunteer Association (TCEVA), supporting local police and fire services.
Gene is survived by his loving family and friends who will miss his tireless work ethic, community spirit, and sociable nature.
A service to celebrate Gene’s life will be held at St. Laurence Church in Southlake, Texas, on November 13, 2025, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Gene’s memory.
