"Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her...A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:28, 30
With grateful hearts and unshakable faith, we celebrate the life and homegoing of Frances Oleta Wallace, who entered the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 17, 2025, at the age of 94.
Oleta was the embodiment of the Proverbs 31 woman-a woman of strength, dignity, wisdom. She was a faithful daughter, a loving and loyal wife to the late Temple Wallace, a devoted mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a woman who lived to serve and glorify God.
She clothed herself with strength and honor and faced each day with grace. Oleta worked tirelessly—both in her home and community-raising her children in the love of Christ and serving others through her career as a real estate agent. Her integrity and compassion made her a trusted guide and friend to countless families over the years. She believed every home she helped someone find was a blessing meant to be stewarded under God’s grace.
A proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Oleta served with dignity and faith, living out the Christian values of charity, truth, and love. Her days were marked by kindness, humility, prayer, and wisdom-her heart firmly anchored in God’s Word.
Oleta is preceded in death by her loving husband Temple Wallace, her parents, and her ten brothers and sisters. While her earthly body is being laid to rest, we rejoice in the promise of the resurrection and know that she now walks in glory with a new, perfected body, in the presence of her Redeemer.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Samyra “Nann” Chrisp, sons Gary Wallace and wife Cindy, and Timothy Wallace; along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her joy and legacy. Her love and faith shaped generations, and her children indeed rise up and call her blessed.
