Gerald Glynn Glover

Passed away on October 2, 2020

Gerald Glynn Glover, aged 79, went home to be the with the Lord after a valiant battle with cancer on October 2, 2020. Glynn was born July 1941 in San Angelo Texas to the late Thomas Marion and Geraldine Whiseant Glover.

Glynn joined the Navy in 1958 and served on the USS De Haven in the Western Pacific.

Glynn married Rebecca (Becky) Vinson and settled in Grapevine Texas in the early 1970’s. Glynn worked as a vending machine mechanic and had a wonderful reputation of being able to fix anything. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and reading books about the Old West. He was an amazing husband, son-in-law, father, and grandfather who put the needs of his family before his own. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Grapevine.

Those that will miss him include his wife of 50 years, Becky; daughter and son in law, Reena and Jasen Rickman; son and daughter in law, Eddie and Christine Glover as well as grandchildren, Eli Rickman, Lanny and wife Kristyn Rickman, Kyra Glover and Tayden Glover, and great-grandchildren, Brayden Rickman and Olive Rickman. A host of good friends from First Baptist Church Grapevine and buddies, Don Warren, Don Stanley, and Greg Cleveland.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Glover, Jasen Rickman, Eli Rickman, Lanny Rickman, Tayden Glover, and Brock Starkweather.

Family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm, Monday, October 5, 2020 at JE Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas 76051.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at JE Foust & Son Funeral Directors.

Graveside Service will follow at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Glynn’s name to: Happy Hill Farm 3846 N Highway 144 Granbury, Texas 76048.
