Glenn LeRoy Harris Sr.

Lt. Colonel Glenn Leroy Harris, USAF, Retired, 94, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015. His parents were the late Bryan and Cynthia Harris. He Was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Christine Lucille Harris. “Harris” began his flying career with the Army Air Corps and retired from the United States Air Force in 1964 and had a second career with the Federal Aviation Administration for 37 years. He was an avid hunter, camper, traveler, boater and water skier.

Lt. Col Harris is survived by two children, Glenn L. Harris, Jr. ( wife, Jan ) of Plano, TX and Cynthia R. Grissom ( husband, Monte ) of Cape Charles, VA; 3 grandchildren – Trent Grissom ( wife, Brianna ), Justin Grissom ( wife, Lindsay ) and Tracy Smith ( husband, Michael ) and 7 great-grandchildren – Ashtyn, Daxton, Logan and Alexis Grissom and Hannah, Alivia and Emma Smith.

Inurnment at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX on Friday, May 29,2015 at 3:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at The Heights Baptist Church, Richardson, TX on Saturday , May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am.
